Concordia Wood-Fired Wedding Vase

This wood-fired wedding vase holds a stunning duality not only in its double-spouted form, but in the surface variations on either side of the vessel. The one-of-a-kind piece was created on the pottery wheel and then hand-altered to create the spouts. It then spent five days in an Anagama kiln as the wood ash and flames combined to create an incredible surface glaze.

The wedding vase is often seen as a symbol of the sacred bond between a couple. Its form, featuring two spouts joined by a single vessel, represents the joining of two lives in harmony. The looped handle connecting the two spouts signifies the unity achieved through marriage.
